Hot Toddy * boiling water 1 tea bag (may be Chai tea, Earl Grey, Orange Pekoe, or what have you) juice of 1/2 lemon 1 - 2 Tablespoons honey 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (you may not need to use this if the tea bag is Chai) 2 ounces dark rum Pour about 3/4 of a cup of the water over the tea bug in a mug. Steep 3 - 5 minutes. Remove tea bag. To the mug add lemon juice, honey and cinnamon if using. Stir well. Add the rum and stir again. *My husband rarely gets a cold, but when he does, he likes to have a hot toddy or two. Note: It is not wise to mix this alcoholic beverage with over the counter cold medications! (They warn you on the medication packages to avoid alcohol)
