Salisbury Steak 3 Steak ingredients: 6 crackers, broken 1/2 cup milk 2 pounds ground beef 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1 egg, well beaten 1/4 cup onion, chopped Gravy ingredients: 3 cups water 2 Tablespoons flour 1 cup water salt and pepper 1 teaspoon parsley 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon oregano 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon basil Method: Soak crackers in milk. Mix all ingredients for steaks. Heat skillet. Shape into 6 oblong patties and brown on each side in skillet. Save the drippings. Place steaks in baking dish. Prepare gravy by adding 3 cups of water to drippings. Bring to a boil. Make a smooth paste with flour and 1 cup of water. Add the paste to the boiling drippings in thin stream. Stir quickly and constantly. Add seasonings. Cook until thickened. Pour gravy over steaks. Bake at 375 degrees for about 45 minutes, until meat reaches 170 degrees.
